VR technology is revolutionary in the classroom and has allowed us to open up the whole world to the children. It has transformed how educational content is delivered, and made standard lessons much more engaging.
The use of Virtual Reality Technology in our classes has led to high levels of motivation among our students. While using this innovative resource teachers have noted that the children become totally immersed and engaged in their learning. This ultimately has led to improved learner outcomes.
The children enjoy using Virtual Reality Explorers because it’s active learning and they are engaged purposefully in meaningful learning activities. They are experiencing unique opportunities to develop skills for lifelong learning. Our school’s learning objective of raising our standard of ‘Oral Language’ through the use of the VR explorers as a motivational tool is being achieved.
Being part of the Virtual Reality Explorers project is a very positive experience for our school. Collaboration across the participating schools as well as across classes within our school is at the heart of this project. That collaboration has led to many a professional conversation and sharing of knowledge and expertise.
Feedback for the pupils and parents has also been positive. The majority say it has deepened their understanding of topics and made the learning more interesting.
